Notes from Mr. Hargis
October 07, 2020
Grandview-Hopkins Family,
The school year is up and running, and it is hard to believe we are well into October, and part way through the second six weeks already! It has been an unusual start to the school year for all of us, but the school year is off to a good start at Grandview-Hopkins. It has been so good to have the students back in the building, and to see them learning and enjoying being together. There have been some adjustments to make with the masks and social distancing, and some of the other things that are part of life nowadays, but overall it has been a good start to the year. We want to thank you for entrusting your child to us each day as we all learn and grow together.
We are very thankful for all of your support and help with some of the changes we have made to our routines and schedules, but especially for your diligence in monitoring your child's health during this time. I believe that with your help, and with the school continuing to do all we can do to keep our staff and students stay healthy, we will all make it through this together. Please stay diligent with monitoring your child's health as we continue to deal with this virus. You have all been great about the monitoring and keeping your children home when necessary, and we appreciate all of your efforts in trying to keep your children and the other children in the school safe and healthy during this time.
If you need further information, we have placed an updated "Response to COVID-19" plan on our website under the Student Information tab. If you are dealing with a situation related to the virus, or have questions about protocols or procedures, take a look at the plan and let us know if you have any questions about anything.
On another note, here are some dates to remember in October.
October 9 and October 12 School Holidays
October 20 School Pictures
October 26-30 Red Ribbon Week- more information to follow on dress up days, etc
October 30 Bowling Party at the Zone Bowling Center in Pampa
Thank you,
Mr. Hargis
