Elements of Art!
We have been busy in Fine Arts the last few weeks learning about the "Elements of Art"! We discussed lines, patterns, space, shades, balance, shapes, and color. The students did two different projects which were a lot of fun and they all turned out very unique!
First, each student designed their own pumpkin. Each section of their pumpkin had a detailed design, that they drew themselves, then each detail had to be colored separately. We definitely worked on patience with this project also!
The second project included learning about 3-D objects. Students designed a 3-D spider web that had to consist of a warm color and a cool color. Coloring involved following directions to give their web the 3-D effect. Even though the design of the webs are the same, I love the individuality each student was able give their own piece.
