Grandview-Hopkins is a rural community of 200 located 16 miles south of Pampa off of Highway 70 on F.M. 293. It is predominantly a farming community with oil and gas reserves. The community is primarily composed of families that depend on agriculture for their livelihoods. The district’s tax base per pupil places the District in a Chapter 41 or wealthy status.

The Grandview-Hopkins Independent School District was organized in 1973 when the Grandview ISD and Hopkins ISD consolidated. The district encompasses about 130 square miles. Grandview-Hopkins Elementary provides a quality education for grades Kindergarten through 6. The ethnic make-up is approximately 75 percent Anglo and 25 percent minority.
