Reader's Theater - Stellaluna
Reader’s Theatre has begun in Mrs. Wilson’s Second Grade class. Students are learning to read out loud to an audience. Sometimes they will be reading by themselves but sometimes they will read with partners. The class read the book Stellaluna together and then had a poem to read together as a Reader’s Theatre. Stellaluna is a book about a bat that gets separated from her mother and must live with birds for a while. As we learned, birds and bats have very little in common. The students were a little nervous on this first “production” but had fun after a few practices. Please check back soon for our next production!
