Christmas Program a "Chilling" Success!
January 10, 2017
Grandview-Hopkins students, Kindergarten through 6th grade presented “The Big Chill” to parents and other family members on December 15th in the Eagle Gym. Deborah Davis, fine arts teacher, led the students in presenting the musical Christmas program. The students performed their individual parts, sang and played bells to entertain everyone. For those who were unable to attend the performance, the plot of the program was the students and teachers hoping for a snow day. Ironically, we were blessed with that snow day on January 6th!
The Student Choir performed “The Big Chill”, “Snow Day”, “A Day at Home”, “We’re on the Same Track”, and “Seven Feet of Snow”. Kindergarten performed “”The Chubby Little Snowman” and “Jingle Bells”. 1st Grade performed “Snowy Days” and “Deck the Halls”. 2nd Grade performed “Winter Weather” and “Holly Jolly Christmas”. 3rd Grade performed “Winter is Warmest” and the 3rd and 4th grade combined to perform “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”. “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” was performed by the 5th and 6th Grade.
