Author and Illustrator of Texas State Park Adventure Books Visit School

Mrs. Brown invited Shawn Taylor our local printer to visit the school one day. Knowing that he taught art she introduced him to some of the staff and students. The students were excited to visit with him and show him their art projects. In conversation with Mrs. Hebard and her students Mr. Taylor told us that he had illustrated some books for Jefferson Marshall. We learned more about this and the staff decided to ask the two men to come and speak to the students about the Texas State Park Adventure books they had created.
Monday Mr. Marshall and Mr. Taylor came to the school and presented a program to the students about drawing, writing, and the outdoors. Students were able to purchase autographed copies of the books for themselves. Mr. Marshall and Mr. Taylor donated a set of the books to the school library.
