School Notification System

It is important that you sign up for our notification system. This is how you will know if we are having School Delays or Closings due to weather or water and power outages.
To Sign Up From Your Phone
- Go to the web site, www.gvhisd.net, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on “Sign up for the News Update”.
- Then you can enter your email in the email list options
- Next enter your phone information under Text Message Options
- Be sure you click on the drop down menu under Text Message Options to choose
your phone carrier. A list to choose from will appear at the bottom of your
phone screen.
- You will need to click on the box next to “district” and click on the Subscribe button.
- You will receive a text message with an authorization code
- You will enter the authorization code on the site and click on the submit button.

To Sign Up From A Computer
- Click on ”News” under the “News and Information” Tab.
- You will see the ”Sign up for the News Update” option on the left and you can follow the same steps as shown above after “Sign up for the News Update”. For assistance please call the office 806-669-3831
