The winter season is here and we want to remind you of the school district's process for notifications relating to school closings or delays. First of all, be assured your child's safety is foremost in making these decisions. Our students and staff travel to school from many different directions, and we take this in consideration when deciding whether to start late or cancel school completely. It is possible that we will cancel classes when other schools don't because of road conditions and other factors, so please stay tuned during these situations.

Notifications and updates relating to school closings and delays will be available in more than one place in order to reach as many people as possible. These include the posting of the information on all three local television channels and their websites, the sending of a text notification through the Grandview-Hopkins text messaging system, and posting the information on school district's website. In addition, you may receive a Remind notice from your child's teacher as an additional reminder. As you know, conditions may change and necessitate a closure instead of a delay, so please check periodically for the latest information.
