I grew up on a farm outside of Groom, Texas. I attended school in Groom from Kindergarten to a senior in High School. I had 16 in my graduating class. We had a lot of good times that I contribute to being a small school setting with a close knit family community.
I am married to a wonderful Highway Patrolmen, who does the K-9 program. We have three children. Stephen has a wife and daughters - Hope, Lily and Addy. He currently is in medical school. Cassondra, my only daughter, is attending West Texas A & M getting her biology degree. Andrew is at Amarillo College working toward an engineering degree, and will transfer on to West Texas A & M to finish his schooling.
I have lived in Rockwall, near Dallas, Borger, White Deer, McLean and now back to Groom. I feel that the small community life style is best for me and my family.
I went back to school after my children were older. I graduated from West Texas A & AM, December 2008. My first teaching job was here at Grandview-Hopkins in 2009-2010 school year. I had kindergarten, first and second all mixed together. At times I thought I had gone crazy, but at the same time it was great. I've moved to teaching first and second together to kindergarten alone. Every year is full of new stories and children with great imaginations.
I love being your children's teacher, it's been great. I believe every child is unique and can be successful with our team work. I pray for guidance to be able to give each child what they need, to be the best that they can be.
